- Hector’s
World TM introduces children to the
concept of cybersafety using engaging animations and other resources. Free
lesson plans are available for teachers to use alongside the animated episodes.
- The Hector Safety Button TM can
be downloaded and installed on Windows based computers (and Apple from June
2007). The animated button covers the screen with a friendly picture and
message when clicked. This both hides upsetting content, and encourages
children to be responsible and seek help from an adult if something distressing
occurs while they are online. The button can be downloaded by searching for
‘Hector Protector’ at www.microsoft.com/downloads.
