Bio
Carey is a year 12 student at Rutherford College involved in the Gifted and Talented programme. He is a self-taught web designer and developer,
using Web 2.0 technologies on a day-to-day basis. He says, "The challenge of allowing the development and use of Web 2.0 technologies in education has grown my technical and social skills. I now operate a business doing freelance website design, allowing me to utilise the skills that I have learnt within the classroom and in industry". | ![]() |
| Description In this presentation, Carey will focus on the skills needed to develop a successful business and the technologies that can be utilised in web design. He gives examples of websites that he has developed, provides some background about web design and wisely reflects on key things he has learnt. |

Aonghas: Video/Post-production
Bio
| Aonghas is a year 12 student at Rutherford College in Auckland. He has a keen interest in filming, video editing and multimedia design. Aonghas has filmed and edited his own short films, and has also worked on promotional video projects for his school. Recently Aonghas has also started to learn simple special effect techniques, allowing him to further enrich his post production skill base. | ![]() | |
